Data Sharing Policy

The International Invention of Scientific Journal (IISJ) is committed to promoting transparency, reproducibility, and research integrity by encouraging authors to share the data underlying their findings.

1. Author Responsibilities

Authors are expected to make all relevant data, materials, and methods available to readers, reviewers, and other researchers upon reasonable request. Whenever possible, data should be deposited in a recognized public repository such as Dryad, Figshare, Zenodo, or GenBank.

2. Data Availability Statement

All submissions must include a Data Availability Statement specifying:

  • The location where the data can be accessed, including DOI or repository links, or

  • A clear justification if data cannot be shared (e.g., privacy, ethical, or legal restrictions).

3. Acceptable Data Formats

Data may include raw data, processed datasets, code, protocols, or other materials necessary to reproduce the study. Authors are encouraged to use widely accepted, non-proprietary formats wherever possible to ensure accessibility.

4. Exceptions

Data sharing may be restricted under the following circumstances:

  • Protection of patient privacy or confidentiality

  • Legal or ethical constraints

  • Proprietary or commercial restrictions

5. Compliance

This policy aligns with best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Compliance ensures that published research adheres to international standards of openness and reproducibility.
