Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The International Invention of Scientific Journal (IISJ) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines as recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All parties involved in the publication process authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher are expected to adhere to these ethical standards.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to IISJ must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere
  • The work is free from plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification
  • All sources are properly cited and acknowledged
  • All listed authors have made significant contributions
  • The manuscript is not under consideration in another journal simultaneously
  • Any conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed
  • Ethical approval is obtained for studies involving humans or animals
  • Data presented in the manuscript are accurate and not manipulated

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making fair, unbiased, and independent decisions based on academic merit
  • Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest
  • Ensuring a transparent and ethical peer-review process
  • Taking appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers should:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of manuscripts
  • Identify relevant published work not cited by authors
  • Report any ethical concerns, including plagiarism or duplication
  • Decline review if there is any conflict of interest

Plagiarism Policy

IISJ has a strict policy against plagiarism:

  • All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin)
  • Acceptable similarity limit: 10–15% (excluding references)
  • Manuscripts exceeding the limit may be rejected or returned for revision

Handling of Misconduct

In cases of suspected misconduct (plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation):

  • The journal will follow COPE guidelines
  • Authors may be asked to provide clarification
  • Proven misconduct may lead to:
    • Immediate rejection
    • Retraction of published articles
    • Notification to the authors’ institutions

Corrections and Retractions

  • Errors identified after publication will be corrected through errata or corrigenda
  • Serious ethical violations may result in article retraction

Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the work.

Data Availability & Transparency

Authors are encouraged to:

  • Provide raw data when required
  • Ensure transparency and reproducibility of research

Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher.
