The International Invention of Scientific Journal (IISJ) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism in any form is strictly unacceptable.

Plagiarism is defined as the unauthorized use or presentation of another person’s ideas, text, data, images, or research as one’s own. This includes self-plagiarism, improper paraphrasing, and reuse of previously published work without appropriate acknowledgment.

Screening for Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to IISJ are systematically checked for originality at multiple stages of the publication process, including:

  • Initial submission
  • During peer review
  • Final stage before publication

The journal uses reliable plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin / iThenticate to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Similarity Threshold

  • The acceptable similarity index is up to 15% (excluding references, bibliography, and properly quoted content).
  • Minor overlaps (e.g., standard methodology or common phrases) may be permitted after editorial evaluation.
  • Authors may be required to revise manuscripts to reduce similarity where necessary.

Actions on Plagiarism Detection

Before Peer Review

  • Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity limit may be rejected or returned to authors for correction.

During Peer Review

  • If plagiarism is identified, the manuscript may be rejected immediately.

After Publication

  • If plagiarism is discovered post-publication, the article will be retracted.
  • A formal retraction notice will be published to maintain transparency and the integrity of the scholarly record.

Institutional Notification

In cases of serious ethical misconduct, the journal reserves the right to inform the authors’ affiliated institutions, funding bodies, or relevant authorities.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Their submitted work is original and unpublished
  • All sources are properly cited and acknowledged
  • Any reused content is clearly identified and permitted
  • Proper credit is given for all data, figures, and ideas

Ethical Compliance

IISJ follows the ethical guidelines and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics in handling plagiarism and publication misconduct.
